It's A Great Day To Be A Sanger Indian!
It is time to start a new year at SHS and I cannot express to you how thrilled and honored I am to serve students, teachers, and the community of Sanger High School. Sanger High School has made tremendous strides in improving the education its students receive. Huge gains have been made in academic performance, along with an increased number of certifications earned. Sanger High School has something to offer everyone from new programs of study like Robotics, Graphics Design, and Audio and Video Technology to a variety of clubs and organizations, to join. Our goal is to provide our students with opportunities that will serve them well after they leave high school and our college graduation rates are proof we are doing just that!
This school year will be filled with wonderful opportunities for our students to enjoy engaging and rigorous learning under the guidance of Sanger High School’s phenomenal educators. It will be a privilege to experience our students’ excitement as they make new discoveries about themselves as learners.
If we’ve never met, let me introduce myself! I am forever a Sanger Indian...I am a proud product of this wonderful school district and have dedicated my entire career to giving back to a community that has provided me with extraordinary opportunities and experiences. I truly value education and feel it is something that continues throughout life. The 2020-2021 school year will be my 19th year in education with Sanger ISD. I graduated from The University of North Texas with a business degree in Marketing and from Texas Women’s University with a Master’s degree in Education Leadership.
I have lived in Sanger most of my life and love everything about our community. My husband, John, and I live in Sanger. Our son is a recent graduate of Texas A&M University and lives and works in College Station. When I am not working you will likely see me somewhere in the community cheering on the Sanger Indians!
Anyone who knows me will tell you that I believe in service and it is a trait I try to instill into every student who enters our doors. “Tribe over me” means to put others first. It means to lead selflessly and it is a phrase you will hear often in the hallways of our school. We welcome you to Sanger High School and we welcome you to walk alongside us in the education of your most prized possession, your children!

Questions with Schedules, Online Learning and More!
We would like to start off by expressing our appreciation for your patience during our registration/orientation process. Along with the rest of the world, we in education are having to adjust all of our current processes and procedures with new and innovative ways. We know that schedules have usually been in your student's hand much earlier and we have generally had extra spaces in many of our classes to allow for some movement. Please know that this is not the case this year. One of our biggest goals this summer was how to best protect our students and teachers during this school year; therefore, our number one priority was to keep class sizes as low as we possibly could to allow for social distancing while also planning for staffing, instructional material, and master schedule. This, in turn, made your child's course requests more important than ever before. Counselors have worked to ensure that if there was a conflict, contact has been made in the hope that you could part of the solution. Because we have received multiple requests for schedule changes since posting schedules on Parent Portal, we wanted to be sure everyone has this important information about the fall 2020 schedule change request process and deadlines.
Please continue your patience in the first few weeks of school. The counselors will process every email, phone call, and face to face request, but there will be many other responsibilities that have to be fulfilled. Below is the form STUDENTS must fill out in order to request a schedule change. Please be advised there are strict conditions that must be met to change a schedule.
