July Band Parent Meeting Minutes
A special ‘Thank You’ goes to the parents and volunteers that made band camp a success! Thanks to the volunteers who donated food and served dinner each evening. Thanks to the Spirit Committee for providing snacks at the end of practice. Thanks to the volunteers who fit over 100 students into marching band uniforms this summer. Thanks to the medical professionals who provided first aid during band camp. Thanks to the car wash volunteers who enjoyed a bright summer day with our students. The football season starts in August and competition season starts in September. FC will host a marching band competition in October. There will be many opportunities for each of us to support our students by volunteering. Thanks in advance!
This Week's Schedule
Senior banner photos will be at the Annex, Door 14S. The 3’ x 4’ banner will be hung on the fence in the stadium. It’s a senior tradition. Mark your calendar, an order form will be provided soon. Cost is $40.

Seeking Photographers for Fall Season
Wanted: Grill Masters
Would you enjoy lending your grilling skills for the band this fall? We are evaluating if there are enough volunteer grillers to prepare burgers and hot dogs for the students in September or October. If you are interested in grilling for the band, please contact our food lead, Melissa Kieper.
Regular Season Practice begins August 2nd
Color Guard: Monday, Tuesday 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Winds: Tuesday, Wednesday 2:30pm - 4:30pm
Percussion: Tuesday 6:00pm - 9:00pm
All members: Thursday 5:30pm - 8:30pm, Friday 3:00pm - 6:00pm, Saturday 9:00am - 4:00pm
Parent Preview Show
The parent preview show will be Thursday, August 26th, 7:30pm at the football stadium. This is the night before our first halftime show performance. Our students' hard work will be showcased, and you will be impressed with the results of the summer’s efforts. Please arrive at 7:30pm, the show will start shortly afterwards.
Meanwhile, please be aware that practices are open to parents, family and friends. Thursdays at 8pm are a good time to see the band wrap up a practice at the stadium. You can catch the first Thursday evening practice at the stadium on August 5th.
Do you own a business or have an employer that would be interested in donating towards a Band Booster sponsorship? For every sponsor you are able to secure, you will receive 10% of the donation to your student’s band account. Franklin Central Band Boosters is a 503(c)(3) tax exempt organization.
