All sophomores (and any freshman or juniors who registered) will participate in the PSAT-National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test on Wednesday, 10/24. This is an extremely important exam for our students as it provides access to the National Merit Scholarship program and many other scholarship opportunities. In addition, the PSAT serves as a concordant score to the Algebra 1 EOC for any student that did not pass the FSA Algebra 1 EOC in the spring. Faculty Spotlight

Nitza Diaz- ESE Support Facilitator

I started working with Pasco County Schools as an ESOL paraprofessional at LOLHS back in 1998. Throughout my time with Pasco schools I worked as a Bookkeeper/Secretary, Migrant Advocate (itinerant), Discipline Assistant, etc. I have assisted in many other areas while in some of these positions: Data Entry, Registration, Clinic Assistant, and the sort. I became a teacher in 2006 after many of my administrators kept on insisting and encouraging me to get my certification. Though my degree is actually in business management and accounting, I went ahead with the advice, and took the needed tests to get certified as a teacher. I then completed the Alternative Teaching Program offered by our school district. It has been 12 years now since i started this teaching journey, and it has been a very rewarding career.

All my formal education was done in Puerto Rico. When I first moved out of my homeland I actually moved from there to Germany as we were a military family. Working with the education system is something that I see not only as a mean to provide an income, but as a service to others and a way to help students and families. I share a special bond with ESE and ESOL students because I have experienced with my own family the additional stressors and challenges that these group of individuals face.

My family and I love the outdoors. So whenever we have the opportunity we like to go to the beach, hiking, bike riding, kayaking, etc. We also love the TN mountains.

I love to read, yet I am not a book reader. I enjoy to read specific articles in my areas of interest: psychology, health sciences, technology, mechanics, engineering, etc. I enjoy to do research job and analyze information to find trends, etc.

I do not watch much TV nor do I go to the movies often, but if you find me watching TV it most likely be Dateline.

Ms. Dallaire-Science

This will be my second year teaching. I was lucky enough to be an inaugural staff member at CCMHS for my first year. I graduated from Tennessee State University in Nashville, majoring in chemistry, with a minor in biology. After I graduated I worked for a forensic toxicology lab for four years as a chemist, mass spectrometrist, and scientist. I have been married for 10 years, and my husband’s job is what brought us to Florida. We have three boys, James (8), Jackson (5), and Jordan (2). Once we moved, I decided it was the perfect time for a career change and I could not be happier with my decision. My hobbies include photography, crafting, beach days, and adventures with my boys.

Mr. Mahoney- Social Studies

Hello, my name is Timothy Mahoney and I am excited to join the Coyote family. I have been teaching for 22 years, both middle school and high school. I recently relocated from New Jersey to Florida. I have taught AP US History and economics, US History I and II, School Law, World Geography andGlobal Political Economics among other subjects. I have been an adjunct professor of education at Saint Peter's University for 19 years. I hold a BS in economics from Boston College, a MBA from Fordham University, a MA in education from Saint Peter's University and I hold a certificate in special education from New Jersey City University. I enjoy sports-I play softball, I have coached track and I enjoy collecting antiques, movies and good food.
