Financial Aid Night - Financial Aid for College Workshop
Please join us on Thursday, January 16th from 6:00-7:30 in the East Cafeteria as we welcome our guest speaker from the Georgia Student Finance Commission, Ms. Carol Lott. Ms. Lott will be available to present important information about the financial aid process and how to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA. Please bring your student, their Chromebook or registered device, your 2018 income tax returns, and W-2 Forms! You will need these items as Ms. Lott works with you to complete the FAFSA. It is critical that your child comes to this workshop in order to set up an FSA ID. This is the first step in completing the FAFSA. It is also very important that they bring their registered devices in order to complete the work on our Wi-Fi. We will also have representatives from GA Southern University and Savannah Technical College available to help with financial aid questions.
We look forward to seeing you!

Student Parking: attendance and being on time matters!
In order to be eligible to obtain a parking permit, students must have 6 or fewer absences and 6 or fewer tardies to school the semester prior to applying for the permit. This is important for students who will want to apply for a parking permit for next school year.
In addition to having good attendance and on-time arrival, students must pass 75% of their classes and be free of the Obligations List.
If you have questions about student parking, let me know.

Teddy Bear Clinic - help needed
Health Care Science and Early Childhood pathways have merged together to plan a cross curricular event: A Teddy Bear Clinic!
Students from the Health Care Science and Early Childhood Education pathways will go to RH Primary School to conduct a Teddy Bear Clinic. Health Care students and Early Childhood students will be paired up to man stations to conduct activities like bike helmet safety, fire safety tips like “get low and go”, don’t touch medicines “Mr. Yuck”, and other safety tips. Both groups will be practicing soft skills, childhood development skills and knowledge, and English Language Arts standards.
Primary students will rotate through each station with their teddy bear they bring from home. Their teddy bears will receive a hospital gown at one of the stations in the rotation. If no teddy bear was brought that day the primary student will still take a gown and a paper doll type cutout bear. Some gown material has been donated and HCS and ECE students are already sewing gowns on their own time. In order to make this a success, we need some help - we are looking for donations of cotton fabric and folks who would be willing to sew gowns. If you are interested in helping, please email Amy Lewis at alewis@bryan.k12.ga.us
RHHS Student Dues being collected
RHHS student dues continue to be collected for the 2019-20 school year. Dues are $30.00 if paid by January 15th. After January 15th, there will be a $5.00 late fee added. Dues must be paid no later than February 28th in order to receive a prom ticket as part of paid student dues. Dues are paid through MyPaymentsPlus.

Program, Youth learning Equipment and Safety, in hopes of finding students who are not on the traditional four-year college/university track. A representative from the program will be speaking at RHHS on January 10th, at 1 pm. If your child is interested in learning more about the program, please have him/her sign up with Mrs. Sack in Room 602 or email jsack@bryan.k12.ga.us.
