April 26th 2019 Weekly Newsletter
Principal's Message
Dear Families and Students,
As we close out our last week before our testing season continues I wanted to take this time to share with you a few very important reminders and announcements.
In order for students to have the opportunity to complete testing without running out of time, both campuses(Lynx and Tech Drive HS) will be scheduled for a full day instead of the normal early release on the following Wednesdays, May 1st, 8th, and 15th. We ask that you keep these dates and all of our testing dates in mind when planning vacations and appointments.
As a reminder, all of our 7th & 8th Grade Orcas Lynx Lane Orcas are required to bring their headphones with an auxiliary chord with them to testing. We highly recommend that you do NOT bring wireless headphones as they do not always work well.
Our Teacher Appreciation Week will kick off next week! There is still time to donate to help make our week a great success, for more information please see below! We will also be collecting Teacher Grams until Wednesday, May 3rd, 2019, you may find them below or at the front desk. Send your teacher a free "Teacher Gram" and thank them for all that they do!
Our 4th Quarter Parent Teacher Conference Nights will begin next Tuesday, April 30th, 2019. You may still sign up for any available appointments through Monday, April 29th, 2019. As always if these dates/times do not work for you or they become full you may reach out to your student's teachers to arrange an appointment for another date or time. If you cannot make it your scheduled conference please let us know ASAP.
Congratulations to Mr. Adair for being nominated as the March Teacher of the Month! We would also like to congratulate the teachers who were selected as the April Character Awards!
8th Grade Parents/Guardians if you have not yet filled out the 8th Grade Graduation Early Departure Form please do so ASAP. If you will not be picking up your student early please contact Mrs. Sturm. In this week's newsletter, you will also find the updated dress code handout.
