This year we are taking more of a family focused approach to homework. We believe that spending quality family time is vital in the success of your student. We will provide family friendly, engaging homework activities and assignments. We would love if you would send us pictures of these activities and share them with us.
This weeks Family focus: It is great to know about your family! Discuss the culture of your family and certain customs, traditions, foods or things that your family does.
Academics
Reading:We will be discussing authors purpose, locating facts in the story and using context clues to determine the meaning of unfamiliar words.
ELA: Students will be determining the difference between literal and figurative language.
Math: Students will model and create the concept of multiplication with equal groups.
Science: Students will compare how the physical characteristics and behaviors of animals help them meet their basic needs
