Ms. Melton’s class is planting radishes. Radishes are an annual root vegetable. The entire plant is edible - from root to leaves - and can be enjoyed raw or cooked.

Writing Workshop
We have been working on writing an All About Book about Sloths. We read about sloths, took notes and are now using those notes to write a paragraph about sloths.
Kindergarten
Kindergarten has been reading decidable books, finding vowels in words and writing “How To Books.” Math has been a blast. we are learning all about teen numbers. We also started learning about what animals and people need to survive. it has been a busy moth in Kindergarten.

2nd Grade Enrichment
Students were asked to build an animal crossing that would help as many animals as possible safely cross a street. They were only given paper, a few craft sticks and two cups.These kids were able to hold a ton of "teddy bears" on their structurally sound bridges. Great job 2nd graders!!!
