Weekly Update

Holy Trinity Catholic School May 18th, 2023

Our Mission Statement

Our Mission is to Spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to Provide a High-Quality Education, and to Guide Children in Living the Catholic Faith.

PRAYER

The Memorare

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word incarnate, despise not my petitions, but, in your mercy, hear and answer me.
Amen.

A Note from Mrs. Longden

In the Catholic Liturgical Calendar, the entire month of May is dedicated, in a special way, to

Mary. I thought it would be a perfect month to learn more about this wonderful Woman

whose “YES” brought heaven to earth and earth to heaven. She is also our Mother and the Mother of the Church.

Did you know that the first disciple of Our Lord Jesus Christ was His Mother, Mary? She was also the first evangelizer and the first disciple of her own Son, Savior, and Lord, Jesus Christ

Did you also know that Mother Mary gave the first Gospel testimony to her cousin, Elizabeth, without words?

Today, I invite you to learn more about Mary. She understood the work of the Holy Spirit unlike anyone else in history, other than her beloved Son, Jesus the Lord. She was clothed in the Holy Spirit when she was first visited by the angel and "overshadowed." The Holy Spirit empowered Mary to live her whole life in complete surrender to God's will.

Blessings,

Mrs. Longden

WELCOME Father Patrick Magnor

Father Patrick Magnor will be our new priest at Holy Trinity Catholic School.

We welcome him to the Holy Trinity School community!

Dress Code/Spirit Wear Store

We will be having a dress code/spirit wear store. If you have any clean, gently used dress code/spirit wear items you no longer need, you can send them to school. If you would like to put your name on them with an amount you would like, you can do that. If you would just like to donate it, feel free to do that as well.

Depending on what we get in, we would like to have the store open on our last day of school, June 1st.

Grandparent's Day Family Crest

On Grandparent's Day, families created a family crest and put their names on it. We have a family crest with the name Duffy on it and we do not know what family it belongs to. Please contact the school office if this belongs to your family.

Thank you.

Teachers Needed

We are looking for someone to teach music. If you know of anyone, please have them reach out to Mrs. Longden at principal@htschool.net. The position is posted on the Archdiocese site.

$CRIP Announcement

IMPORTANT UPDATES TO KOHL'S $CRIP

We wanted to let you know about some changes in the Kohl's Cares Fundraising gift cards available through Raise Right/$crip.

Effective immediately, any newly purchased ecards cannot be used to make payments on your Kohl's Charge Card account balances.

School has a current inventory of Kohl's physical gift cards that can be applied to charge card balances. When these cards are gone, the new physical Kohl's cards will not work to pay your charge card balance.

You can buy physical or ecards and load them into your account to use when purchasing on-line from Kohl's. The rebate percent for Kohl's is remaining at 5% for local Kohl's.

Thank you to all our families who support $crip. If you currently are not participating in $crip and would like to save money on your tuition, here is a quick explanation. You order a gift card through RaiseRight/$crip at face value, but the retailer sells it to school at a discount. That discount is retained in an account and is split 50/50 between you and school. You only pay face value for the gift card, you do not pay anything extra. Gift cards available include gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, department stores, speciality stores, airlines, etc. If you have any questions, please call the school office and we will help you get started!

2023-2024 Volleyball

Hello HTS families,

Volleyball season will be here before we know it! All HTS girls who will be in 5th-8th grade next school year are invited to a volleyball open gym session. Please encourage your daughter to come, whether she is playing for sure, or if she wants to come and check it out.

While the girls play, we will have an informational meeting about the season for the parents.

When: May 22nd from 6:30-8:00 pm. (The meeting will not take this long, but that's how long we have the gym available.)

Where: HTS Cafe and gym.

Below are the forms needed in order to participate in Wildcat Athletics.

Even though there's still time, we encourage you to complete them and bring them to the meeting, so it's one less thing to think about this summer.

You can find them here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1K4IIaHuo2EXb_YTtHuV-6hPfc6RyngK-?usp=share_link

If you have any questions, please email athleticdirector@htschool.net
