- The GHES PTO is hosting their annual Holiday Party for all staff and teachers on Tuesday December 17th and requesting the following:
- We are looking for parents to donate desserts for the lunch. They are due in the office by noon on Tuesday December 17th. Visit our membership toolkit to sign up!
- Each year we raffle off several gift items donated by the community. If anyone has a small business (i.e. Norwex, Pampered Chef, vinyl business, etc.) and would like to donate a gift, Lindsey Maxwell would be more than happy to pick it up. We also like to include gift certificates to restaurants, spas, etc. in our raffle. If you would like to participate in this fashion, please contact Lindsey at Linz0720@yahoo.com. Thank you all for your help and support!
- Please SAVE THE DATE for our 2020 Daddy Daughter Dance! It will be Saturday, February 8th at GHES. Tickets will go on sale starting January 13th. You must be a PTO member to purchase tickets, so please register as a member if you haven’t already!
Morning Arrival Reminders
Parents, thank you for helping us with morning arrival. There are a few things that we need to bring to your attention to ensure efficiency and safety each morning:
- Please make sure students are exiting your vehicles on the side closest to the building. It presents a safety hazard when they have to walk around the car to enter the building.
- Please pull all the way up to the hornet sign. This allows more students to exit vehicles at one time, and prevents traffic build up.
- Parking spots should not be used to drop students off. Those spots are needed for people with appointments in the morning, or who need to come inside of the building for any reason. Parking and walking students across the driveway is a safety hazard and holds up traffic, especially when cars are trying to back out of spots into oncoming traffic.
- Middle school drop off ends at 7:30. If you arrive after that time, you will need to use the elementary school car line.
- If you arrive at GHES anytime after 7:35, you will need to come inside and sign your child(ren) in. The instructional day starts at 7:40. Students need time to get to class, go through their morning procedures, and get started on time. Let's work together to support our staff and students!
Thank you for your close attention to this information.
Lost & Found
Parents, please remind students to check the lost and found area. You are more than welcome to check in at the office and go through the lost and found, too! Coming to the school for lunch? Please stop by and make sure none of the items belong to your family. Items left by December 18th will be donated. Thank you!
We are SO proud of these students for receiving Caught You At Your Best positive Referrals!
Congratulations to our Girls on the Run Participants!
