Dear Buff Family-
We hope that you are doing well and continuing to navigate the Remote Learning. Don’t hesitate to reach out to your teachers if you need help completing the assignments or if you need more help with the content. Virtual tutoring has also been put in place. More info is included in this newsletter on how to request help. We are so proud of our Buffs who are willing to step up and help out each other!
This week our focus is on being College, Career or Military Ready. Mrs. Gossett, our College, Career and Military Advisor, has a Google Classroom. More info about joining her classroom is also included in this newsletter. Scholarships are continuing to be added to our website so we encourage students to keep applying for those. Additionally, we want students to keep sending us acceptance letters and any scholarships they have received. Even though we’re apart, we want still want to brag on our kids and their accomplishments!
We know you may have questions and we will do the best we can to answer them for you. In this uncertain time, we may not be able to provide answers as we await further guidance from our district leaders.
Please stay healthy and safe. We look forward to seeing our Buffs!

April is Month of the Military Child
Military.com posted this article that sums it up nicely.
‘Each year, April is set aside as a military child appreciation month, officially known as the Month of the Military Child. With its start in the mid-1980s, the Pentagon and other military support organizations and agencies use the month to recognize military kids for their sacrifice and bravery on the homefront.
The term "military brat" is a badge of pride worn by generations of kids who traveled the world with their parents, moving into adulthood with the knowledge that they have the strength to handle anything. Military children deal with separations, deployments, frequent moves and even their parents' injuries as part of the life they were born into or entered with their families.
Because purple is a color used to represent all military services, the theme "Purple Up" is used over the course of the month.
Their strength and resiliency is inspirational. Especially this year, as many of them are facing new learning from home adventures, extended separations from a parent and delayed PCSes.’
Please help us in celebrating our Military Connected students at Clemens. If you have a picture of your Military Connected student that you would like to share with us, please email it to me at tbarber@scuc.txed.net.
