Random Tips: Focus on Lent
Even though we're in the second week of Lent, here are a few more Lenten resources. Encourage teens that you work with that it's not too late to start doing something for Lent (or renew earlier commitments) to prepare ourselves for Easter!
This list has lots of ideas of things to do this Lent! Number 9 (The Photo Challenge) could be a creative way for teens to reach out to others through their social media accounts).
Service:
There are usually lots of parish events going on during Lent. Encourage teens to arrive early to help set up, or stay after an event to clean up.
Ask teens to think about issues they are passionate about and reach out to local agencies that address these issues to see what they most need and how teens can help.
Knowledge:
This Lenten calendar helps teens read Scripture daily, along with a very brief reflection/focus for prayer. The calendar is shown below, and this is a link to view it https://i.pinimg.com/originals/ee/de/95/eede95844933d9c0e853c6248bbe45d7.jpg
Online Catechist Certification Program
A parish/school can purchase as many licenses as needed form the Diocese and will be billed ($15 per license). The license is good for as many modules as the catechist can complete within one year of activating it (interested catechists should commit to completing at least two during the year).
Get more information/purchase a license by contacting:

Lenten Prayer
Create space in my life for more kindness and less spitefulness, greater generosity and few self-centered needs, stronger compassion and weakened judgment of others.
Enlarge my heart with a spirit of gratitude this Lent, so that I recognize the simple gifts that lay in abundance all around me.
In your sacred name, I pray.
Amen.
