From the Principal
All things beyond our control considered, it has been a great year at RPIMS! With two weeks left in the school year, it is time to put a focus on completing this grading term in strong fashion. Students must submit work that they are wishing to have considered for their 4th term grade record by 11:59pm Tuesday, May 25. Students and caregivers are asked to contact teachers directly with questions or concerns regarding outstanding assignments. I will be advertising to students all week long that THIS IS THE WEEK to knuckle down and finish outstanding work instead of waiting until the last day that it can be accepted.
The plan for the 21-22 school year is to engage students in daily, live instruction (no more black/gold days are planned for next year). In addition to students being in-person 5 days a week for next school year, families can apply for K-8 Virtual or 9-12 Online. Applications for the 21-22 school year are now available at the links below. Please note there will be a limited capacity for the amount of students that will be enrolled in each program.
If you have questions, you may contact one of the following administrators:

Summer break is a great time for students to take a break from the daily rigors of school and for families to spend time together. It can also be a good time for students to continue to stay connected to learning with the completion of summer learning activities. MSD Warren Township is offering Warren families in grades K-4, 5-8, and incoming 9th guidance for summer learning. Warren is also offering summer school to students to students currently in grades K-8. Information on these summer opportunities and many more can be found below in this newsletter.
Pandemic safety continues to be a priority at RP. Marion County and Raymond Park Covid numbers look good, but this is no time to let down our pandemic guard! RP will continue to follow the SAFE Reopening Plan for the remainder of the school year to better ensure everyone's during the pandemic. Students are reminded that face masks and social distancing are required. Frequent handwashing and sanitizing will also be scheduled into the daily schedule. All MSD of Warren Township staff and students should wear face masks unless an extenuating circumstance exists and a face shield is needed. School administrators may approve the use of a face shield in these cases.
Students should not attend school if they are close contacts to a positive Covid case, are awaiting results of a Covid test or exhibit two or more of the following: ● A fever of 100.0° F or greater ● Cough ● Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing ● Sore throat ● Fatigue ● Chills ● Muscle or body aches ● Headache ● Congestion or runny nose ● Nausea or vomiting ● Diarrhea ● New loss of taste or smell.
Thank you, caregivers for your support of our students in finishing the school year in strong fashion. Please reach out with questions or concerns to a grade level counselor, grade level administrator or through response to the email carrying this newsletter with questions or concerns. Grade level counselor and administrator contact information may be found at the bottom of this newsletter.
