6th Grade Survival Guide
Welcome!
6th grade can be an awesome year for you, if you know how to survive. There are a few tips and tricks that I can show you to make 6th grade a great school year. This school has a motto, be ready, respectful, and responsible.
The 3 R's
Ready
6th grade can be fun if you're prepared. You should have at least 2 sharpened pencils at all times. Some teachers are more strict than others so you try and figure that out.
Respectful
If you don't have respect your teachers and what they do for you, then you'll have a tough time making it through 6th grade. They know what they're doing so if you disagree, just suck it up and go along with it.
Responsible
Take responsibility for your actions. Don't let somebody else take the blame for something that you did. Do your own work, don't have someone do all of the work and have you just be sitting down being useless.
The Strike system
The strike system is a system where, let's say if you don't get your work done or if your chromebook is not charged, then you'll get a strike. It is a great Idea to not get a strike because if you lose all of your 10 strikes, then you'll not be able to participate in the 6th Grade Olympics at the end of the year. Some ways you could get a strike include not being prepared for class, disrespecting a teacher or fellow student, and being tardy to a class.
