Resilience
Good morning!
It has been encouraging over the first month of the school year to be able to have a more and more typical school day and I am grateful for all each of you have done to get us to this point.
It as important now as ever that we all do our part to wear our masks properly and that we encourage each other to do so. This means while indoors, all masks are worn over the nose and mouth at all times unless on a scheduled mask break determined a teacher or staff member. This is for everyone's safety and is our primary responsibility. Thank you for your understanding and support of these expectations.

News and Notes
Transportation
BHS Families,
While we continue to experience a shortage of bus drivers, our transportation department requests that whenever possible parents/guardians please transport their students home when they stay after school.
Please also remind your student that if they stay after and require the late bus to transport them home, they need to provide the driver with a Late Bus Pass signed by the faculty or staff members they were with that afternoon. As of October 13, any student without a late bus pass will not be transported.
BHS students may only board a late bus at the high school flagpole. The BHS Late Bus departs at 3:15pm.
Thank you for your support during these challenging times.
Our Transportation Department can be contacted at (585)637-1880.
Freshman Counseling Curriculum
Over the past two weeks freshman students were given a presentation during their advisement period from their school counselors. This presentation covered high school academic credits, transcripts, diploma types, and future programs available to students in junior and senior years. The link below will take you to the PowerPoint of the presentation.
MAP Growth Assessment
The data from this universal screening tool will be used to appropriately identify potential academic interventions and enrichment opportunities for students.
You can access a Family Guide to the MAP Growth Assessment at the following link: A Family Guide to MAP Growth
You can watch a short video on how MAP Growth is designed to support student learning here: What is MAP Growth?
BHS PBIS
Brockport Blue Devil Family; students, teachers, and staff,
Have you seen something special?
Has someone said something nice to you?
Has someone gone out of their way to help you?
If you answered yes to any of these questions and want to acknowledge that person, here's the ticket!
- The I SEE YOU! award is for any student to acknowledge any adult in the building that has gone above and beyond the call of duty.
- The SHOUT OUT award is for any adult to acknowledge any student for representing our core pillars and doing the right thing.
If you're a student or an adult with a nomination, please see Mr. Iacchetta have an Award created in their name.
