Down to assessments and check lists

It seems amazing to me how fast this year has gone by. Actually, it always seems amazing to me how fast a school year speeds along. Kids will be taking assessments and field trips this week. Please see the "upcoming events" section of this newsletter to make sure we are all on the same page. One of the pages I would like us all on is the lunch account page. There are a few accounts that are getting low and will not end the year in the black if there is not a small deposit made to balance the end of the year.

I hope you can make it to our end of year assembly, Monday at 10am and/or our Field Day, on Wednesday, May 18th.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child's education.

Health tip from Mrs. Abel

  • “Taking kids grocery shopping is a great way to teach functional math and literacy (e.g. how to budget, compare costs, use coupons, write a list, and read labels). The grocery store also provides us with the chance to practice and model social skills and self-control, to learn about different foods and cultures, and to discuss advertising, labeling and making healthy choices.”
