Families Forward (and Leadership) Presents: The Canned Food Pyramid
Your advisement's task, is to collect as many canned food items as possible throughout the whole week. Our goal is to collect 1400 cans, at least 2 cans per person. Then on Thursday, November 14th, you will be building a magnificent structure with your cans. There are two categories: MOST SCHOOL SPIRITED and MOST CREATIVE/ORIGINAL, so start planning and make a blueprint!
What to Bring
Canned food means non-perishable, or... at least long (and I mean looong) lasting food. BUT, that does not mean you show up with a Diet Pepsi (or coke, or whichever soda you like) and turn that in. NO!
Here are some ideas of what you could (or should) bring:
1. Canned Fruit (preferably low sugar)
2. Spaghetti Sauce (canned)
3. Canned Tomato Products
4. Hearty Canned Soups & Chowders
5. Raviolis (in a can)
6. Canned Beef, Fish, &/or Chicken
7. Cereal/ Oatmeal (yup, you know it's comin'... in a can)
8. Vegetables (Carrots, Mixed, Spinach) (no durrh, a can)
9. Beans (Baked, Refried, Black, Kidney) (Hullo? Canned)
ALSO:
PLEASE DO NOT BRING IN PLASTIC JARS WITHOUT APPROVAL FROM MR. BOWMAN OR MRS. CARDOZA!
