Arbor Week: February 21-27 2021

The City of Florence has been designated a “Tree City USA” for the 34th consecutive year by the National Arbor Day Foundation. Earning this distinction was a City-wide effort by the Florence Street, Electricity, Parks & Recreation Departments, Florence Housing Authority, the Mayor and City Council, Florence Tree Commission, and Urban Forestry team.

Commemorative Tree Fund

The 2021 commemorative tree was planted on the corner of Tuscaloosa and Walnut Street across from the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library.
