Food Awareness Week

A variety of activities are taking place next week highlighting different foods, activities and healthy eating across the school. Keep an eye on our news and social media pages!

BBQ Helpers

The Claires Court Senior Boys PTA are looking for helpers to assist with the serving of the BBQ at this year’s summer fete, the BBQ runs from 12 noon-4pm and ideally we will have 6 people working at any one time. It would be great if we had enough volunteers to rotate the BBQ team every hour.

If you are able to volunteer your help please contact me by email at c.e.webster@btinternet.com or telephone 07990 973354.

FROM THE HEAD'S DESK

I hope all have enjoyed a beneficial break whether involved in various activities or simply putting your feet up.

The U13 pupils enjoyed a successful tour to North Devon and I am delighted to report that they were praised for their behaviour and manners around their Holiday Homes. Well done boys.

Our Senior Quadruple Scull has put its marker down for contention at Henley Royal Regatta by winning the Championship Quad Event at the National Schools Regatta, we follow their progress with eager anticipation.

This Wednesday I was lucky enough to be at the Regional ISA Athletics Championships supporting our athletes, a number of great performances and congratulations to all who competed.

We have completed the marking of the exam papers and the boys should have brought them home for you to sign, next week we will send out their grade card and we will be discussing any problems with individual families.

I hope you have booked Saturday 25 June to visit our Fete, it promises to be another grand occasion.

Along with my last quote about how we need to experience failure to move forwards, the great man said-

"Only a man who knows what it is like to be defeated can reach down to the bottom of his soul and come up with the extra ounce of power it takes to win when the match is even." Muhammad Ali.
