EYMS Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide a nurturing educational environment where students develop academic, physical, social, and emotional skills necessary for a lifetime of learning.
Principal's Message
We hope your child is settling in to the 2018-2019 school year! Since our school has made great strides in transitioning to having students and teachers use 21st century technology devices and apps, I thought I would lead by example by making my newsletter digital. I have conquered the challenge of learning all 113 names of our new 6th grade students and am enjoying getting to know each of them in the process. All the students have been very helpful and patient with me as I have worked on this! Please know that your feedback is important to us at EYMS and we welcome your calls and input! Together we will make this school year full of learning and growing! Be sure to scroll through this newsletter and share with other family members and friends of EYMS! We are happy you are connected to our school and appreciate your support as we work
to help all students succeed!~ Ms. Presnell

Caught in the Middle
Middle school is tough! I am a middle child and I think this is part of the reason I love middle school so much. If you notice your student is not talking to you about their day or anything for that matter, try asking them about their day in a way that does not allow for a one word answer.
