We hope everyone has a restful Spring Break. From this point on, things will be happening fast as we begin the last nine weeks of the school year. Spring is also a time when testing season begins. Mid-term exams will be administered right before Spring break and SAT & ACT/STAAR EOC/TSI/ and AP testing will begin soon after. With all this testing, students may show signs of anxiety and stress. The counselors know this is a stressful time of year and we are here to support them in any way possible. We know this year has been tough but our students, teachers, and staff have shown resiliency and perseverance! Let's keep focused so we can end the year successfully.

Before we leave, this Friday, for Spring Break, we will be ending this 9 weeks with FINAL grades. Be sure to check Skyward for any missing assignments and communicate with your teachers if you have any questions.

Below is the link for Skyward. This is where you can always see your current grades, access your academic transcript, and see your updated class schedule before the term begins. Remember to bookmark this important link in your internet browser for quick and easy access! If you are unable to see your 4th 9 weeks schedule, check and update your settings to the correct nine weeks to see your schedule.

Remember you will need your parent to fill out part of this information as well since they will use their tax information from the previous year.

Also, please utilize our College & Career Room during block lunch if you have questions about filling out the FAFSA or TASFA. Mrs. Lewis is available during block lunch in Room F207 (also known as the “Whataburger Room”) in case you have questions.

1. Turn in any district technology with charger and cord (iPad, Chromebook, etc..)

2. Turn in any district-issued equipment (athletic uniforms, fine arts uniforms/equipment, etc.)

3. Make sure all accounts/fines are cleared (ex. cafeteria, library, parking, etc.)

If you requested a TECC (Career Center East or West) class for 2023-2024 school. year, please fill out the interest form in Skyward. Below is a screenshot of the instructions that you should have received in an email.

Summer VLA will be open for registration in the coming weeks (April-ish). Be on the lookout for communication from VLA via Skylert and announcements. You will register in Skyward.
