Improved Student Outcomes Seen Through Participation In Activities, Clubs & Sports At Howell
Over the course of the past several years students at Howell have continued to become more involved in the over 60 activities, clubs and sports offered. Last year a FHSD record setting 75% of students at FHHS were involved in an activity, club or sport. What do we know about these students? These students have a higher attendance rate, less discipline infractions and higher academic achievement when compared to their peers not involved in an activity, club or sport at Howell.
As we enter the second semester we encourage all students to find a way to get involved and attached through the many programs offered at Howell. In these programs we hope to grow the "Four C's" among student-participants as well as see improved outcomes in the classroom and with relationships among their Howell Family.
If you would like further information or you are looking for an activity, club or sport to become involved with please click the link below.
4 "C's" Of Howell Programs
Competence - increasing performance and improving skill in activity, club or sport.
Confidence - improving the participants self belief, resilience and mental toughness.
Connection - building strong relationships with students, staff, community and programs.
Character - developing the moral character of the R.I.S.E. core values of respect, integrity, sportsmanship and excellence to become better leaders and role models.
