Pulley
a pulley is a simple machine that uses a single wheel and a rope to pull or move load.
how does it work? you wrap the rope around the wheel and you put force on one side of the rope while the other side is attached to the load.
Lever
a lever is a stiff bar that rest on a fulcrum for support. it moves and lifts load.
how does it work? a lever makes works easier by putting effort into the other side.
Wedges
a wedge is an object that slants at one side and is sharp at the end used to cut objects.
its sharp endings make it easier to cut or peirce through objects. an example of a wedge is knives, axes, e.t.c
Wheel & Axle
A wheel with a rod in the center is used to lift or move loads
how does it work?
it works in the same way of mechanical advantage
examples of a wheel and axle is bicycle pedals, and e.t.c
Inclined Planes
A inclined Plane is a slanted top that attaches a lower level to a higher one.
how does it work?
it adds the distance the load should be moved making the force needed to move the load smaller.
Screw
a screw is a plane wrapped round a pole that holds things together.
how does it work?
they have wider heads that the hole made to hold the object in place.
