What's Up?

Wow! What a week! We finished up the 3rd 9 weeks by wrapping up our electricity, Cold War, and shapes units. This week, students also began learning about commas and writing an informational piece about kangaroos.

What's Next...

In Math, students will begin studying volume and converting different measurements. Students will begin exploring Earth Science and the Civil Rights movement. We will also continue to work on informational writing. This week, we have 4-H on Tuesday, a meeting with the LGMS counselors on Thursday, and Science Fair conclusions are due Friday.

Dates to Remember

April 6th-10th- Spring Break
April 14th- Testing Begins

Science Fair checkpoints

This week, I will send a reminder about which parts of the Science Fair project your child has not turned in. They will be able to complete these parts, but will only receive half credit at this point. Please be on the lookout for this in the Monday Folder.

School Supplies

Please ask your child about how their school supplies are doing. I know there is only a couple months left, but many students have lost/broken their crayons, colored pencils, markers, scissors, and glue sticks. Remember- if you send it in for your child, it is theirs to keep track of. I don't collect these materials for everyone to use, so they can always start the next school year with these supplies!

Your child must master ALL ALEKS concepts by April 14th. Please make sure they are doing 1-2 concepts a night. Many students are behind, and they will miss their recess to catch up.

Science Fair Conclusions

Friday, March 20th, 8am

1180 Leguin Mill Road

Locust Grove, GA

This is the last checkpoint before the projects are due.

Classroom Needs- DESPERATE!

Thank you Mrs. Hixson for donating supplies to our classroom. If anyone else is so inclined, we could still definitely use the materials on this list.
1. wide ruled notebook paper
2. tissues
3. paper towels

If your child is going to Wahsega, please remember the donations of granola bars are due ASAP. Thank you!
