Stride Serves: Fighting Hunger
It is estimated that 48 million Americans (including 16 million children) live in a home that does not have the ability to get healthy food on a regular basis. This means that 1 in 5 children go hungry sometime during the year. We invite you to help bring awareness to this struggle with hunger and work together to bring an end to it.
How You Can Get Involved:
- Donate your time at a local food pantry to serve food.
- Conduct a food drive in your neighborhood.
- Collect unused plastic utensils to donate to a food bank or shelter.
- Deliver a meal or a treat to a neighbor.
- Cook a meal for your family.
- What other ideas can you think of to Fight Hunger?
Be sure to share photos of your activities on your school's social media pages with the hashtag #StrideServes!
