4-H Foodstand Sign-Up

If you have not yet signed up to work in the food stand, this is the final call. Starting next week, 4-H Council members will be contacting those who have not signed up. The 4-H Foodstand is a major fundraiser for the York County 4-H Program. The money raised will go directly to York County 4-H'ers through scholarships, workshop, and other learning experiences. It is expected that at least one person from every family works at least one shift! Go to the link below, pick a spot, put in your name(s) and hit submit.

Fashion Show Modeling Practice Sessions

Practice session opportunities will be available at the 4-H Building. Come learn how to model or get in some extra practice before the Fashion Show. Receive one-on-one instruction and feedback to promote success in modeling. These are informal, come and go sessions. Please call the extension office at 402-362-5508 to sign up for one of the following sessions:

We are gearing up for the 2019/2020 season. Challenges will be released August 1st and teams will start practicing. 4-H & FFA Family Meal

Kick-Off the Fair With Us!


You are invited to a 4-H meal on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the 4-H Building. Families can sit down and eat or grab and go. The meal is provided by our Diamond Level Sponsors: Cornerstone Bank, Henderson Bank, and Western Edge. This is exclusively for 4-H & FFA exhibitors and their families.

County Fair Shirts Are Here!

Thanks to a generous donation, each enrolled 4-H member (including Clover Kids) will receive one FREE 4-H shirt again this year. Youth and adult sizes are available - no need to pre-order. These t-shirts will be the official show uniform for all 4-H events at county fair.

Shirts are now available for pick at the Extension Office. Additional shirts may be purchased for $5 each during fair week.

4-H'ers Receive FREE Admission to Fair Events

NEW THIS YEAR! All York County 4-H members will receive free admission to the Figure 8 Races and Read Southall Band Concert. Wear your RED, 2019 4-H shirt to gain entry into these events.

Static Exhibit Interview Judging

Static Exhibit Interviewing Judging is OPTIONAL! If a 4-H’er chooses to interview judge, there will be a limit of 2 interview items per project area each day. Interview times are available from 8:30 a.m. to Noon each day. If you would like your exhibits interviewed, stop at the Extension Office to make appointments.


Reminder: All static exhibits must be checked in by 10:00 a.m. each day!

4-H Family Pie Donation

Each 4-H Family is asked to furnish at least one pie (two pies would be even better) for the 4-H Food Stand during the fair. These pies support the 4-H Council Food Stand, which remains the only fundraising activity the York County 4-H Council operates for the year. It is asked that the pies be 9 inches in size and fruit pies, nothing that needs to be refrigerated.

Camper Spots

County Fair camper spots are still available! The cost is $75 per spot. Spots are available the Sunday before the fair through the Sunday of fair. Payment must be received in order to complete your reservation. They are reserved on a first come, first served basis. Call the Extension Office to reserve your spot! 402-362-5508
