Leader in Me Building Goal

February is all about kindness! Our 5th graders have set a goal to create and send out 2000 cards by the end of the month. Each week, they will keep track of how many we have created and sent out on our bulliten board. If we meet our school goal, we will be celebrating with a hot cocoa cup of kindness, a winter fun day outside, and a snow sculpture contest. How will we meet this goal? Students are busy preparing videos to add to our morning announcements, have a system for keeping track of cards, and will celebrate our progress. Stay tuned for more....

Parent/Teacher Conferences Sign-up coming next week

Please mark your calendars for Parent/Teacher Conferences. They are scheduled for February 16th and February 23rd from 3:45 - 7:45 pm. We will be utilizing PTC Fast again as a means to sign up.

Thank you to our PTO

Today, we had a special pajama and donut day as a celebration for meeting our fall fundraising goal coordinated by our PTO! Our amazing PTO members delivered 500 donuts to our students and staff to enjoy on a cold, snowy day. Thank you to all our families for participating and to our PTO for the supporting our school!

5th grade school forest

Last week our 5th graders enjoyed a couple of snowy days at our school forest. They spent time skiing, observing a deer necropsy, learning about birds from REGI, and playing in the new 5-6 inches of snow. We discovered that all things work as a part of a food chain. The heart from the deer necropsy is given to REGI, feeding birds who are being rehabilitated. The deer remains are then placed outside so that the fox, coyotes, and eagles have a constant food source during the cold winter months. Students experienced first hand the importance of how everything in our environment works together and appreciated the time spent enjoying our beautiful school forest!
