Swim Omaha Long Course Meet
May 12-14 Swim Omaha will be hosting a Long Course Meet at UNO.
Swim meets that we host are important events for our swim club, and it takes a lot of effort and resources to make it a success. We ask for your help in ensuring that our meet runs smoothly and efficiently.
The success of our long course swim meet depends on the collaborative efforts of all members of our swim community, and we believe that every parent has a valuable role to play. Whether it's volunteering at the concessions stand, serving as a timer, or helping with set-up and tear-down, every contribution is important and greatly appreciated. By working together, we can ensure that our athletes have the best possible experience and that our meet is a success.

Age Group Mock Meet - May 25th and Ice cream social
Thrusday May 25th instead of practice we will have a mock meet for Novice, Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
After the meet we will have an ice cream social. Bring your favorite ice cream topping to share.
Sign up on the website (like a regualr meet) starting tomorrow.
Meet will be at Westside.
Gold and Silver group warm ups at 5:40
Bronze and Novice at 6:00.
Meet starts around 6:20.
This will be the last day for all Spring into Summer Swimmers.
There will not be any age group practices Friday - Monday of Labor Day weekend.

Swim Omaha is excited to announce a new sponsorship program!
This program is designed to allow local businesses to provide financial support to our program by obtaining recognition and advertising. We are also excited about this program because it will provide participating families financial relief by obtaining a credit toward their Swim Omaha account. A win/win!
Attached is the Swim Omaha Sponsorship form which includes a description of the varying levels of sponsorship and elevating benefits. This annual program will eliminate the need to obtain ads for individual swim meets and can be renewed yearly. The sponsorship form can also be found on the club website (swimomaha.com) under the “Sponsorship” pull down. This is also where a list of all sponsors will be displayed. This email information is also shared in the pull down but you must be logged in.
Where do the sponsorship dollars go?
- New equipment and timing systems (as needed) for all Swim Omaha high school practice venues.
- Continuing education and development for Swim Omaha Coaches.
- Travel reimbursement for out of state swim clinics for Swim Omaha coaches’ clinics.
25% Swim Omaha Credit
The sponsorship program also allows families to obtain credit toward their Swim Omaha account. For every sponsorship obtained by a family, 25% of the value of the sponsorship level will be applied to their account. For example, if a family obtains a “Gold” level sponsorship they will receive a $125.00 credit toward their account ($500 x 0.25 = $125.00).

We are asking all our Swim Omaha families to identify local businesses interested in supporting our program and begin finding sponsorships.

Updated Summer Schedule
JULY 26-29, 2023 FUTURES CHAMPIONSHIPS

All USA Swimming members aged 18 years old and older are required to complete APT annually.
Since 2019, USA Swimming adult athlete members have been required to complete Athlete Protection Training (APT) as a requirement of membership. In 2019, USA Swimming built in an administrative grace period to give athletes 30 days after their 18th birthday to complete the requirement. Effective September 1, 2022, there will no longer be a 30-day administrative grace period. Going forward, any 17-year-old athlete who has not completed the APT requirement by their 18th birthday will not be a USA Swimming member in good standing unless or until the APT requirement is completed. This includes eligibility to compete in USA Swimming sanctioned meets, club practices and all other related activities. Athletes will continue to receive an email notification reminder of the APT requirement 30 days prior to their 18th birthday as well as a reminder on their 18th birthday.
All USA Swimming members aged 18 years old and older are required to complete APT annually. This is the individual’s responsibility and includes both athlete and non-athlete members.

Orange kickboards have been handed out. If you did not get one ask a coach.
Novice and Bronze
All Bronze and Novice swimmers should have their own fins.
- We are an Arena team BUT Arena does not have "long" blade fins so we order outside Arena for this item. For most other items please purchase items through SwimQuik and try to purchase arena branded items.
- Quickest way to get fins and the right size it to go to SwimQuik at 2518 S 140th St, Omaha, NE 68144. Ask for the Speedo Trialon Fins.
- You may be able to find them at Scheels, Dicks, or walmart.
- If you cannot make it to SwimQuik or they do not have the size and cannot order them you can go to SwimOutlet.com and order there. https://www.swimoutlet.com/products/sporti-essential-floating-swim-fins-color-8201640 - Doing this does not support our vendor or brand.
