Bluestem Battle News: We had a WONDERFUL Bluestem Battle last Wednesday! Our top teams were:

  3. God Squad

The Page Turners will be representing Patterson at the Crosstown Battle tomorrow! GOOD LUCK!

BOOK FAIR IS RETURNING THIS SPRING!!! So Many Wonderful Books!

**Parents will be able to enter school and shop during the day! Wednesday, April 27th during Open House, BookFair will be open from 6:45 pm to 8:15 pm!

BOOK FAIR INFORMATION!

Our Spring Book Fair is Here! April 22-May 2! THERE ARE MULTIPLE WAYS TO SHOP THE FAIR!!!


Students may shop our at-school fair during school hours. If you are sending money (cash, check, cc) with your child, please be sure to communicate your expectation on what they may purchase. They will be previewing the fair and making a wish list. Sales tax of 7.75% added to items purchased. (Kindergarten students will have personal shoppers to help preview the fair, and purchase their items). We will also be open during our annual OPEN HOUSE from 6:45-8:15!

We are highly recommending E-Wallet for students.--- HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • Create an account for each child
  • Add Funds
  • Shop the book fair with EWallet funds-Mrs. Maly will have a record of the amount.
  • Donate the unused funds to Patterson All for Books (benefits students), spend unused funds online, or use unused funds at the next fair. $$ does not expire.

Field Day Popsicle Ingredients

During Field Day (May 26 with a rain date of May 27), all students will receive a Flavor Ice Popsicle. If your child has allergies or food sensitivities, please review these ingredients. If your child may NOT have this treat on Field Day, please email your classroom teacher and our Field Day Planner, Jared_folley@ipsd.org

KANE COUNTY COUGARS READING LOGS DUE TOMORROW, 4/27!

Kane County Cougars reading logs are due tomorrow, 4/27. On Monday, May 2nd, any student that completed the reading minutes and turned in the reading log will receive a ticket order form.

Parents will have the option to purchase additional tickets and parking for the game on May 27th. Payment information will be included on the order form. Orders are due Friday, May 6th. Due to our ordering deadline, late reading logs and late ticket orders will not be accepted.

Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week Donations Needed!

It’s that time of year again! The school year is quickly coming to a close and we would like to thank our amazing Patterson staff for a great school year! Please consider donating to help support teacher/staff appreciation week! See below for two ways you can help. All donations are voluntary.

As always, this week could not happen if it weren’t for our amazing Patterson families.Thank you for supporting the Patterson staff!


1.Gift Card Donations: As a school, we are collecting a voluntary donation for all Patterson staff to help purchase a token of thanks presented to them during Teacher Appreciation Week. Money donated will be collected and gift cards will be purchased for all Patterson staff.


A $10 donation per child is suggested. You can customize your dollar amount as well. Please click the button below to make your donation through MemberHub by April 28th.


2. Amazon Wish List: We have also created an Amazon wishlist of all the goodies needed to make this year’s Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week a success! Please be sure to choose PTA member Chrissy Fumo’s Gift Registry address when picking a shipping location.

It’s time to celebrate the Patterson staff! Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week is next week (May 2-6)! We would like to thank our amazing Patterson staff for a great school year! Please help us celebrate our teachers!

Wednesday, May 4th:

● Wear your favorite Baseball jersey/t-shirt or your own Baseball/Softball jersey/t-shirt

● Write a thank you note to your teacher(s) for a great year! Deliver it to your teacher(s) on the baseball paper sent home. Feel free to print extras. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Nominate a Staff Member for the A+ Award!

A+ Award

In 2014, the Indian Prairie Educational Foundation teamed up with District 204 and sponsor Wells Fargo Advisors to recognize the positive impact of educators. New to the program this year, one staff member from each of the elementary, middle and high school levels will be recognized each month.

You can watch previous surprise award presentations at A+ Award videos. A complete list of previous winners is online at A+ Award recipients.

Click here to submit a nomination for a staff member who goes above and beyond to make a difference for our students.

Nomination Criteria

  • We welcome nominations from parents, alumni and community members, and strongly encourage students to submit nominations as well. A+ Award Nominations must include an essay (of 50-500 words) describing how this staff member has positively impacted students. District 204 staff members are not eligible to submit nominations.

  • Nominations are rolling. All nominations submitted will be kept for consideration until the end of the current school year.
  • Nominees must be currently employed by District 204.
  • Nominations will be shared with those you nominate.
