I'm reaching out to share information about the Michigan Department of Education's (MDE) three upcoming Educator Workforce Job Fairs across the state – particularly our event next week, Friday, May 10 at LCC here in Lansing. We are hoping that you might help share these Job Fair opportunities throughout your educational communities. To help disseminate the details, here is a link to download our informational flyer.
Additionally, I'm including a short narrative below with more detailed information:
Developing, supporting and sustaining a high-quality, prepared and collaborative education workforce is a high priority of the Michigan Department of Education (MDE). That’s why the Department is targeting this Top 10 in 10 Strategic Goal by hosting three Educator Workforce Job Fairs across the state to connect job seekers and those hiring teachers, subs, bus drivers, custodians, paras, secretaries, admins, and any other education-related positions. Please consider joining MDE at one or more of the following events:
· May 10 – Lansing (campus of Lansing Community College West)
· June 12 – Marquette (campus of Northern Michigan University)
· Aug. 5 – Livonia (campus of Schoolcraft College)
Registration for each Job Fair is required. Please reserve your spot ASAP by visiting MDE's Job Fair website and clicking on the specific event location. Each of the Job Fairs will be held from 1-5 p.m. and are free for all participating Local Education Agencies (LEAs), Intermediate School Districts (ISDs), Public School Academies (PSAs), educator staffing agencies, and, of course, all job-seeking candidates. Limited space is also available for purchase by vendors (associations, businesses, education providers, etc.) wishing to be in attendance. Please see our Vendor Prospectus for more information.
