Thank You
Thank you Loveland families for attending the 2021-22 Curriculum Night. Curriculum Night is one of the most important nights of the school year. Your participation and active role in your child’s education is critical to his/her development in school. If you were not able to attend Curriculum Night please review grade level material on our Loveland website.
Ms. Hornung
Keep in touch
Throughout the year, use these ideas to stay in touch:
- Attend parent/teacher conferences, Community Club meetings, workshops, and special presentations.
- Tell the teacher about any special situations that may affect your child’s success at school - health problems or changes in the family.
- Remember how great you feel when you get a note of thanks? Teachers feel the same way. Send a note to the teacher to express your appreciation. Example: “Thanks for sparking Russ’s interest in reptiles. He’s so excited!”
WHS Football Games
All elementary students who attend WHS football games will need to sit with their parents during the game. Parents are asked not to drop elementary students off at the game without parental supervision.

Hello! The Loveland Community Club (LCC) is again using a new app that will help us reach more parents and caregivers to keep them informed and involved with all things Loveland.
Remind is a mobile messaging platform that LCC is using to communicate with teachers, parents and caregivers regarding community club meetings and other events happening at Loveland. For more information, please see www.remind.com.
Remind helps the LCC communicate with parents and caregivers with the hope of increasing engagement in our school sponsored activities and initiatives by ensuring every family has the information they need. We are currently using Remind to send LCC meeting notices and agendas. We would like to expand its use, but we need your help to ensure that all parents and caregivers have created a Remind account.
The Remind system will not replace Ms. Hornung’s weekly updates. Remind will be used for LCC communication which previously came via email. We are hoping to minimize the number of mass emails, and instead send less frequent, targeted messages specific to a child’s grade and class.
Remind is free and it is easy to sign up. Here is the to register all your Loveland Students:

To assist your child and school staff in ensuring the safety of all students and staff this year, please consider keeping a few EXTRA masks in your child's backpack for emergency purposes. We always have additional masks at the front office, but students generally prefer their own.
Friday Bags
“Friday Food Bags” will begin on Thursday, September 3. These are packs delivered by the Food Bank; students bring home the packs for the weekend each Friday. The packs include non-perishable meals (two breakfasts and two lunches or dinners). If we do not have school on a Friday, packs will come home on the last school day of the week. Students who have participated in the past can start bringing the bags home the week of August 30. If you would be interested in receiving the bags and have not in the past, please contact Mrs. Gnader. Your participation in this program is confidential.

Band Update
Attention Fifth Grade Students and Parents - You are invited to BE A PART OF THE MUSIC! This fall, you will have the opportunity to do what so many successful students have done before you by being a part of Band and Strings! In the first three weeks of school we will be visiting all the buildings, demonstrating the instruments, and giving students the opportunity to select an instrument of their choice. We will have a parent meeting about our program on Tuesday, August 31 at 6:00 pm at Westside Middle School. All are welcome to attend to learn about elementary instrumental music and meet the teachers. We are excited to introduce your child to the world of instrumental music!

Box Tops for Education
Please help us save Box Tops for Education. Every year Loveland participates in this worthwhile program, raising approximately $1,500 in FREE money for our school. Please clip and save box tops. Make sure your child’s name and teacher’s name is on the monthly collection sheet (found in Loveland Leader each month), or in a baggie, and return to the office.
