Who is my teacher this year?
All active HAC accounts will be able to view your child's assigned teacher on Aug. 4th. At that time, you will be able to view your child’s classroom assignment and teacher, by following the included steps:
- Go to the district website at www.d303.org and click Parent Login near the upper-right corner. On a mobile device, open the navigation menu by clicking the menu icon in the upper-right, then scroll down and tap Parent Login
- Log in to the HAC by entering your registered username and password
- Select Registration from the menu on the left; You should then see the classroom assignment and teacher, which are labeled Homeroom and Homeroom Teacher on the right-hand side of the screen.
What about my bus?
Transportation route information will be available online (https://district.d303.org/tools/bus-routes) This information is activated approximately one week before school starts. This routing information will include the pickup/drop-off location and time.
District 303 is pleased to offer VersaTrans e-Link as a tool for viewing the latest bus route information for students.
Parents may log into e-Link using their student's ID number. For your initial login, you will enter your student's ID for both the Username and Password.
Don't know your student's ID#? Before you call the office, Log into your (HAC) Home Access Center to find their ID#.
Of course, if you are still stuck, please call the Anderson Office (331) 228-3300.
Transportation route information will NOT be sent home through the mail and can only be accessed online. Please note that for the first two weeks of the school year, the district will not make adjustments to the transportation routes. Our transportation department will collect suggestions about the routes and will make adjustments where necessary after the first two weeks of classes.
Lunch Menus and Lunch Prices
There will be a cost for student lunches this year. (In one of my previous emails I made a mistake and said they were going to be free) Sorry for any confusion. I guess It was wishful thinking. :)
Students simply order lunch with their teacher each morning. Prices for breakfast and lunch can be found on the D303 website under Food Services.
Eating healthy is an important part of the school day. Parents should send a healthy snack with their child every day that will be eaten with the class at a time set by the teacher. The school day is long and children need that extra nutrition. Sending a water bottle is also very handy and avoids needless interruptions going to the drinking fountain. No snacks are available for purchase at school. For healthy snack ideas please click HERE
Breakfast is available through Organic Life Food Service upon arriving at school and will be charged to pushcoin if the child chooses a breakfast. Please talk with your child if you plan for them to eat breakfast at school. The students will eat as class is starting and do not need to arrive early for breakfast. Please do not send a breakfast from home for your child to eat at school, only school-purchased breakfasts are allowed. There is no eating allowed on the school busses.
Lunch times are 20 minutes in length and students may choose from 4 menu items or may bring their own lunch. The teacher will ask children for their lunch choice at the start of the school day, but parents may review the menu with their child at home. Lunches are also charged through pushcoin and are not free to all students as they were last school year.
Apply for Free/Reduced Lunches
If you believe your household qualifies for free or reduced meals based on the current USDA Income Eligibility Guidelines, please complete the free/reduced application for the 2022-2023 school year (printable paper applications linked below).

Being on time matters! 43.5 reasons why!
7:45-8:00 Morning Arrival Window
Please do everything you can to make sure your child arrives at school at 7:45 so that they do not miss out on any connection time and learning with their classmates. Just so you are aware, classroom teachers begin the learning day at 7:45 by personally welcoming each child, and engaging with them in order to connect and build positive relationships. Learning and organizational activities begin in every classroom at 7:45 AM. If your child always arrives at 8:01 AM every school day, that is the equivalent of 43.5 hours of missed instruction throughout the school year. That's a lot of learning!
Change in daily pick-up plan for your child? Let us know ASAP!
If for any reason your child's "normal" afternoon pick-up plan (Bus or Car Rider) is changing for a given day... It is vital that you notify the school office and classroom teacher.
PLEASE!
- Call the office by 12:00 Noon and let our office team know of the change.
AND
- Email your child's teacher first thing in the morning.
When changes to a pick-up plan change at the last minute, it can be challenging to manage and communicate in a short time. Please email the teacher and call the office as soon as possible.
What happens at Arrival and Dismissal?
Arrival time window: 7:45-8:00
If you are driving your child to school, simply drive up to the front of the school at 7:45 AM and pull all the way forward. This allows more cars to line up behind you and minimize any backup onto the street. Students need to exit the right side of the car and step up onto the curb. An Anderson Teacher will greet them and welcome them to school. If you arrive after 8:00 AM you are expected to park your car, walk your child to the front door and sign them in. Please do not drop off after 8:00 AM without coming to the office to check in your child.
We make it a point at Anderson to make sure that every child is greeted with a smile and a positive welcome at least 3 times before they even get to their teacher. That is one way we make sure every child feels welcome and safe.
At 3:00 PM we begin our dismissal process.
Car Riders are dismissed from their classroom and walk to the front of the school. Students should safely spread out along the full front sidewalk to watch for their parent/guardian's car. We have multiple teachers stationed in the front to help assist and make sure students are safely entering their cars. If you choose to, you can park your car and use the crosswalk to meet your children.
Students riding a bus home are dismissed by grade level and make their way to their assigned bus and assigned bus seat. We have Anderson teachers stationed to supervise and make sure all students are getting on the correct bus. All busses are numbered along with a colorful animal for our younger students to help them remember their bus. (Don't worry, we personally walk all younger students to their assigned bus.
