Welcome Back Westside Families and Happy (almost) December! We hope you enjoyed the time with family over the break and we are excited to welcome back the students! The next few weeks will be filled with festive cheer as we close out the semester, and the students will continue working towards mastering grade level standards.

Looking for a great holiday gift for your child? Our Winter Wonderland Book Fair begins tomorrow! Visit our website HERE where you can set up an eWallet for your child, sign up to volunteer, preview the fair and purchase books online which has a larger selection than our display. The site will be open until December 12th!

As we approach the holiday season, please be sure your child's teacher knows your preferences on "holiday celebrations" as we want to honor and respect all of our families' traditions. Scroll to the bottom for a list of "festive attire" students can wear during the month of December.

The emergency Mask Mandate by the School Board has expired. Parents and guests now have the option for face coverings, but they are encouraged during large gatherings indoors. We are still staying consistent with our cleaning protocols and social distancing when possible.

Last, the weather has been cooling down, so be sure to dress your child in appropriate clothing as the temperatures drop. Layers are the key as the mornings tend to be chilly, but it warms up quickly! We HIGHLY recommend putting your child's first and last name on the tags of all jackets as they often end up in our Lost & Found.
