Digital Media to Save the World - January Webinar

Students have ideas that can change the world but do not know how to develop or express their ideas. Colleen Skiles shows you how in the January ISTE Global Collaboration PLN webinar.

With "Actions Impacts", students work in steps to use digital media to bring these ideas to life. Students invent, innovate or campaign for a Sustainable Development Goal, then pitch it to a Shark Tank for funding.

Some of the digital media that students use are Canva, Adobe Spark Post, Page and Video, iMovie, Stop Motion, Vlogging, Blogs and more. Learn how digital media can save the world.

NEA Foundation Global Learning Fellowship

The NEA Foundation Global Learning Fellowship offers public school educators 12 months of professional development. The NEA Foundation staff, partners, and field experts support Global Learning Fellows as they participate in online coursework, webinars, and peer learning communities, including a two-day professional development workshop in Washington, DC

ASCD Global Leadership Summit

The annual Global Leadership Summit, cohosted by ASCD and GlobalEd Events, will convene classroom teachers, school and district administrators, and thought leaders in a full-day interactive, engaging program that empowers educators to lead classroom, school, districts, states, and policy arenas in supporting students as change agents in their own communities and around the world.

When: Friday, March 15, 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m - Chicago, Illinois. This is an ASCD Empower 19 pre-conference event. A separate fee is required to attend.

Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Short-Term Program

The Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Short-Term Program for U.S. Teachers (Fulbright DAST) provides an opportunity for outstanding K–12 teachers from the United States to take part in a two- to six-week professional development experience abroad. Teachers will share their educational expertise with schools, nonprofits, teacher training institutions, and other educational organizations abroad.


Bett is the first industry show of the year in the education technology landscape, bringing together 850 leading companies, 103 exciting new edtech start ups and over 34,700 attendees (131 countries represented) from the global education community, that come together to celebrate, find inspiration and discuss the future of education, as well as the role technology and innovation plays in enabling all educators and learners to thrive.

Fund For Teachers Fellowship (U.S. Teachers)

Fund for Teachers strengthens instruction by investing in outstanding teachers' self-determined professional growth and development in order to support student success, enrich their own practice, and strengthen their schools and communities.

Fund for Teachers supports educators' efforts to develop skills, knowledge and confidence that impact student achievement. By trusting teachers to design unique fellowships, Fund for Teachers grants validate teachers' professionalism and leadership, as well. Since 2001, Fund for Teachers has invested 30 million in nearly 8,000 teachers, transforming grants into growth for teachers and their students.
