Volunteers Needed: Breaking Ground Exhibit
The Center is looking for 5 student volunteers to help with our "Breaking Ground: Visionaries Growing Minority-Owned Businesses" event on May 13th:
The event officially begins at 3 pm, and I would request that all students helping meet at Christy's office (Mackenzie 124) at 2:45 pm. The Dean of the Foster School, several UW regents, members of the MBHF&M board, a student and Christy will speak, and then the “unveiling will occur around 3:50 pm. Each student would push their respective screen closed, and then walk into Christy's office for the public viewing of the exhibition. After that, all student volunteers are welcome to stay and view the exhibit, or leave if they wish.
Please email Christy Hansen if you're interested! crh26@uw.edu
If you are not interested in volunteering but would still like to attend the event, please continue reading below.
Exhibit "Breaking Ground: Visionaries Growing Minority-Owned Businesses"
The Consulting & Business Development Center is celebrating those with a legacy of leadership in growing minority-owned businesses across the nation. The exhibition highlights in particular members of the Minority Business Hall of Fame & Museum (http://mbhf.org/purpose.html), and will be installed in the first floor main corridor of Mackenzie Hall.
We would like to invite you and the other members of B.I.G. to join us for the Grand Opening of the exhibition from 3 – 4:30 pm on Tuesday, May 13. Beyond honoring businesses visionaries, the goal of the exhibit is to provide young thinkers and leaders such as yourselves inspiration. The Grand Opening program will include remarks from UW representatives and the Chair of the Minority Business Hall of Fame & Museum, and the opportunity to meet the 2014 honorees.
