Alan November - Parent U - THIS THURSDAY!
Alan November, a leading national expert on learning and parenting in a digital world is coming to Midlothian ISD. There are two opportunities on February 8 to hear him present. The first opportunity is from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the MISD Administration Building and the second opportunity is from 6-8 p.m. at Heritage High School in the Cafeteria. At either session, please feel free to brown bag your lunch or dinner and bring a friend. For more details, please visit our district’s website at MISD.gs. I look forward to seeing you there!
112 learners expressed interest in our "Freestyle" club! We will talk to these learners tomorrow, determine what their "freestyle" project will be, and send home a permission slip to be signed because most likely, these learners will need to bring something from home that pertains to their project. Your child will know if he/she has been selected for the "Freestyle" club tomorrow afternoon. Any learner who does not return his/her permission slip by Wednesday will be assigned a different club.
Anyone interested in making slime? How about wood working? We would supply the materials, but we need brave souls to help us facilitate these clubs for our NEXT round of Genius Hour starting in March. Let me know - firstname.lastname@example.org!
