Halloween Parade and Party Information
The annual Buckeye Elementary Halloween Parade and Parties will be held on Friday October 28.
The parade will begin at 1:30 pm. Elementary students will parade around the track on the Buckeye campus. Parents are welcome to sit in the stands for the parade.
If at 12:00pm there is a 40% chance of precipitation or snow, and or is below 35 degrees, the parade will be cancelled. We will contact families through email by 12pm Friday, 10/28 if the parade is cancelled.
For the Halloween parties, TWO parents per room may assist with the party. Priority will be given to parents who attend PTO meetings and volunteer for the school. Volunteers chosen for the Halloween parties were contacted this week.
Parents assisting with classroom parties will stay in classrooms during the parade to set up for the parties. Please note: parent helpers will be unable to bring other children/siblings to the parties.

Veteran's Day Breakfast - Friday, November 11 @ 8:00 AM
Buckeye Elementary will be hosting a Veteran’s Day breakfast on Friday, November 11 @ 8:00 am for veterans and their students. Please use this Veteran's Day Breakfast Registration Form to reserve a spot for your veteran(s) and student(s). Families will be able to reserve up to four spots for the breakfast. Please reserve your spot by Friday, November 4th.
Following the breakfast, Buckeye Elementary students and staff would like to honor your veterans with a Veteran Clap Out Parade through the elementary school. Veteran participation in the parade is optional.
In addition to the breakfast, we are sending home "Bricks of Honor" with our students this week. This is a paper form which will be completed by families and returned to school. We will use these paper “bricks” to create a Wall of Honor, one for each side of the elementary building. If you need additional bricks, please contact your student's teacher.
There will also be an opportunity for Buckeye staff, community, family and friends to volunteer and/or donate items for the Veteran's Day breakfast. Sign ups will be sent out next week.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email Kelly Moore kmoore@buckeyeschools.org.

PBIS and Wheel of Awesome
In recent weeks or days you may have heard your child talk about the Wheel of Awesome. This is simply a reward classes earn by doing the right thing and filling their jars. Many students have also contributed to the glass jar by using Buckeye Bucks they earn for doing the right thing and donating them to fill the glass jar. You may have heard your child talking about getting the orange slot because that is the grand prize like donut parties or a pie in a staff members face.
