What's expected of students?

Starting the year under the umbrella of virtual learning is an exciting opportunity for us. We want our students to be safe, but we also want learning to continue. Click on the link below to see what APS has outlined for our students and parents.

The administrative staff, counselors, and coaches will still offer support via office hours. If students or parents have specific tech concerns, they can reach out to Mrs. Powe via email or the office number listed below. All forms of communication will be checked frequently each day.

Google Classroom

Google Classroom makes teaching more productive and meaningful by streamlining assignments, boosting collaboration, and fostering communication. Educators can create classes, distribute assignments, send feedback, and see everything in one place. Classroom also seamlessly integrates with other Google tools like Google Docs and Drive.

Rules for Participating in all Virtual Learning Opportunities :

Please note: Teachers may have an additional set of rules they expect their students to adhere to.

  1. Arrive in virtual classes on time with microphones muted

  2. Your teacher may require that you turn on your camera. Please be prepared for this as if you were in the actual school building.

  3. Use good digital citizenship when posting. Do not post conversations unless they are directly related to the lesson.

  4. Find a quiet place to set up. Remember, your classmates can see what is happening behind you.

  5. Practice using Zoom ahead of time. Instructions for using Zoom on a Chromebook are HERE.

  2. Second- A formal warning letter will be sent to parents.
  3. Final- A formal behavior referral will be entered into Infinite Campus and be placed on student's behavior records.
