21 years of Pride at Colleyville Heritage High School

Panthers,
What a great week at CHHS! We saw our girls basketball team clinch their second straight district championship with their win over our cross town friends. This year, I decided to do something a little different, and I am taking the time to meet with every senior individually. Yes, I know this is a pretty big task to complete, but I feel it is important to gain the perspective of our students to continue to strive to be the best high school in the country. I have learned that students will typically tell you how they feel, and if they are unhappy with how things are going, they will tell you about it. I have had these discussions with a little over 100 students, and I have been blown away by how articulate our students are and how prepared they are for the future. As the principal of CHHS, I know we have great kids, but each of these students that I visited with have surpassed my expectations, and I am so excited for our future! It is truly a great time to be a Panther! Have a great weekend and GO PANTHERS!!

Define what PRIDE means to you at CHHS.
Pride is a very special thing. To feel pride for someone or something is to really support what it stands for, to want to be a part of what it stands for, and to spread the word about what it stands for. What we have at CHHS, the learning environment, the staff in it, and the students in it, really give me a reason to have pride for it.

THE COLLEGE FIRST YEAR EXPERIENCE
- Do you know how to make sure you can access your child's grades once they are 18 and in college?
- Does your child know the difference between an Urgent Care center and an ER when they are ill away from home?
- Do your kids have their own bank account and know how to access it?
Mrs. Bures will share insights for students about contacting professors, money management, and staying involved, healthy, and active during the important first-year transition. Parents will learn about HIPAA and FERPA, so they can access to their child's grades and personal information while in college. For more information, contact Debra Hurley at vpprograms@chhsptsa.org.
