What a Whirlwind!
Wal-Mart Awards PCMD $500 Grant for Scanner Adapter
A big thank you to Wal-Mart, which recently awarded the Pella Public Library a $500.00 grant to assist with the purchase of a photo negative and transparency scanning adapter! This device "rides over top" of our current scanning equipment to allow us to digitize photo negatives, slides, and other types of transparent material! We look to get some excellent use from this device in the future, especially with the recent large donation of photo negatives we received (see the April 2020 newsletter).
First Baptist Church Records Now Online!
We are pleased to announce that the first book of First Baptist Church Records is now online! This book covers the period between 1844 and 1866, and contains the charter of the church, membership rolls, financial statistics, and details about the missionary church that existed in the time before FBC was formed! Be aware that this is a somewhat large file, and we are working with the technology to improve load times. A high speed internet connection is recommended. Alternately, you can choose to download the entire PDF file and then read it offline. Thank you to Pella First Baptist Church for working with us on this venture! Visit this new collection here!
