NOVEMBER 2022 UPDATE
So far during the 2022-2023 school year, the campus police officers have conducted 708 door checks districtwide. Each police officer conducts these checks daily, confirming that doors that are to remain locked are locked and functioning appropriately.
The districtwide safety committee, made up of staff, parents, community members, and law enforcement has met twice since the beginning of the school year. The third meeting of the year is scheduled for November 8, 2022, at 9:30 am in the Aledo Learning Center.
All campuses have held safety training for all volunteers in the district. To date, 1,304 volunteers have been trained, and they have logged an incredible 5,643 hours and 46 minutes supporting our children and staff in the district!
All Aledo ISD campuses have conducted required fire drills and lockdown drills to date.
Celebrations: We're excited to recognize these AISD students and staff members!

It's OPM Week in P2!
This week in P2, it's OPM - Knowing My Words and Actions Affect Others week!
What exactly does OPM mean and how can you talk to your student about it? Positive relationships can help people become happier, healthier and more resilient. People who have strong positive relationships do five things consistently (that are the five practices of the Other People Mindset):
- Recognize the good in other people
- Recognize that everything you say or do affects other people
- Support others when they struggle
- Cheer people on when they succeed
- Remain present when giving people your attention.
People who have a strong Other People Mindset are able to build and maintain strong, positive relationships with others. Ask your student about OPM Week!
