VERY IMPORTANT CHAPERONE INFORMATION
Congratulations to Mrs. McDowell
Mrs. McDowell was recognized by the American Legion in Holly a few weeks back and most recently recognized at the Holly Board of Education Meeting for being our American Legion Teacher of the Year. Mrs. McDowell has been a teacher for 19 years. She has taught 4th and 6th grades and is currently a Title I Teacher. Her leadership skills go above and beyond for students and teachers as she takes on advisor and co-chair roles on several committees. Mrs. McDowell not only influences students academically but promotes socially emotionally healthy students as well. She volunteers to coordinate Blessings in a Backpack for our building and voluntarily lead an after school Girls Running Club. The following quote best describes Mrs. McDowell, "Every Child deserves a champion - an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connections and insists that they become the best they can be."
Thank you for being the champion for each and every one of our Patterson students! Congratulations, well deserved!

Student Physicals
On June 7th, the high school team physician Dr. Larry Baylis and his staff will be at Holly High School. On this day, students will be able to get a physical for the low price of $15. Physical day begins at 4pm. An end time is not set, as that is dependent on how many students sign up for a physical. If you would like to schedule an appointment close to the start time, make an appointment soon. If you would like a late afternoon time slot, make your appointment later this month. We will "sell appointment times" until June 5th.
The process:
1. The student or a parent should stop in the HS main office (8am-3pm), the MS main office (8am-3pm) or the athletic office (9am-3pm) with $15 to purchase an appt. time. A great time for HS students to make an appointment is during their lunch hour. Appointments cannot be made over the phone as payment is due when you schedule. We will accept cash or a check made out to Holly Area Schools. A receipt will be issued when payment is made.
2. When you submit payment, an appointment time will be assigned and an appt. card will be stapled to a physical form. Both sides of the form must be completed PRIOR to your June 7th appointment. Parents, please double check the form, make certain ALL info is filled in and all signature lines are too. The only portion that you may leave blank will be the section Dr. Baylis will complete.
3. On June 7th, arrive at Holly HS for your appointment. Be on time or even early. Do not be late.
Reminder, the middle and high school offices are open Monday-Friday, from 8am until 3pm; the athletic office usually from 9am until 3pm. (Occasionally events take us out of the office, for example all day May 16 for the tennis regional.) If we have an evening event, the Athletic Director or Athletic Coordinator may be on site and can assist with scheduling an appointment in the evening. Call ahead should you wish to come to the High School some evening. At the HS, the best option is to have the athlete purchase the appointment time during their lunch hour.
If you have a question, please contact the athletic office at 248-328-3247. Remember, if you want a physical appointment close to 4pm, schedule now. If you want a late afternoon appointment, schedule later this month.
