Our theme this year is "Wolfpack Strong." We believe that learning and growing together is the key to our success. Strength lies in the pack, and we will remember this theme throughout the year as we work cooperatively to be successful!

5th Grade Project Fair
Information was sent home Thursday, May 11. Visit https://sites.google.com/a/katyisd.org/twe-5th-grade/twe-project-fair for information and ideas.
Parents will be receiving an invitation to the Project Fair in the Tuesday Folder on May 16.
Yearbook
If you purchase a yearbook, check out the cool Aurasma feature! This features cool videos and extra pictures from the school year. Go to page 132 in the yearbook for more information!
5th Grade Yearbook Supplement
This year there will be a 5th grade yearbook supplement that will include 5th grade events after the yearbook deadline in March. This will include events such as Wolfpack Chorale Astros Game perfomance, pool party, field day, Learning Celebration, Clap Out, etc.
The supplement will be 8-12 pages long and will have an adhesive strip to attach to the end of your yearbook. It will be mailed directly to your house by Jostens in June or July.

Summer History Camp at Bayou Bend (Where our own Mr. Tom Wilson is a docent) July 17th – 21st: Crafting America continues a 10+ year MFAH tradition of presenting a summer history camp at Bayou Bend focused on early American culture. This camp is intended for students entering or exiting the 5th grade.
KISD Summer Recreation Program provides sports related opportunities for children and adults. Registration details and additional information about each program can be found at the Community Flyer link on the main page of http://www.katyisd.org.
Tompkins High School Crimson Cavalette’s Dance Team will be offering a summer camp from June 19th – 22nd, 8:00 a.m. – noon for 4th and 5th grade students. Please visit http://crimsoncavalettes.org for full details and registration.

Think Through Math:
This is a free, online math program that allows students to learn and practice to improve mathematics skills. By using Think Through Math on a regular basis, students will become better at problem-solving and computation. These are important skills for success on the STAAR test, 5th grade classroom work, and preparation for 6th grade math. Students access Think Through Math using their MyKatyCloud account.
