Fall News:

Dear Parent,

Thank you for exploring two free reading resources at school called Bookshare ( ) and Learning Ally ( ). I hope you were able to get your child's Individual Account with Bookshare. This is a great way to review the reading material from class and also enjoy any book they wish.

If you were unable to get their Individual Account please don't forget to be looking for an email from Bookshare to get your child’s Individual account online and get familiar with the wonderful reading opportunities for your child. It may show up in your “junk” mail, so be sure to check there as well.

**Below you will find several videos from Bookshare and Learning Ally. Many others can also be found on Youtube. I kept some of the same videos on this newsletter in case you needed to review the steps or information with using Learning Ally and Bookshare.

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month. I have included some wonderful links to informational videos. One of my favorites is called, The Big Picture. It was produced by Sundance Films and was created when it was discovered Robert Redford's grandson is dyslexic. You will find four of these videos on YouTube:

If you have any questions, please feel free to call or email.

App Camp: BookShare's Read2Go App

APP Camp Information from You Tube

When viewing the App Camp video for Read2Go APP for iPad, this is optional and would be used after you get an individual account as it is purchased by the parent. Your child has already been verified to receive Bookshare, so that part of the above video has already been completed. After you are signed up for their Individual Account then you can decide if you would like to get Read2GO. It is an additional App that you may purchase, but completely optional. You do not have to purchase anything as Bookshare is free, but I wanted you to know about Read2Go.
