Weekly Reflections
A moment of Thanks
Focus of the week: Intervention
As you approach this holiday season, I hope that you will embrace it with grace. Enjoy your family and friends and relax. We have 7 more days prior to the holidays so let's make each day, each block, and each moment count. I want to let you know how Thankful I am for each of you! Thanks for doing what you do for children. Have a great Thanksgiving!
#ALLthewayUP!
Grows:
1. Increase expectations (expect students to get to class on time)
Thanks so much!

Literacy & Technology
Nonfiction Book Talks: Any middle and high school students interested in participating in nonfiction book talks in classrooms on Friday, November 15 and Friday, November 22, 2019 need to sign up with Mrs. Cave. It would be great if teachers would provide some incentive for this. The book talks for middle school will take place during intervention time and high school book talks will be held at the beginning of 3rd block. Depending on student response, a schedule will be created and distributed. The book talks will take approximately 10 minutes of your class time.
2. Nonfiction Comic Strip Contest: Students will choose a book from the NMHS library on which to base their comic strips (Exception: Teachers make this a class assignment and the comic strip is based on subject content) Comic strips will be due November 22 in the library, and winners will be announced November 25. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes.
