Pictured are a group of the players. | Children in Need 2017We held a mufti day today for all staff and students in support of Children in Need. Staff and students were encouraged to wear blue in support of the anti bullying campaign and raised an amazing £496.40. | Remembrance at CTS Mrs Reynolds would like to say thank you to all the CTS CCF students who held an inspirational assembly in honor of all those who lost their lives in conflict and to Mrs Wright for supporting the CCF students. |

Children in Need 2017
We held a mufti day today for all staff and students in support of Children in Need. Staff and students were encouraged to wear blue in support of the anti bullying campaign and raised an amazing £496.40.
Star of the Week:
- Mr Harley has nominated Harley in 7CO for his high quality and accurate work in Design and Technology when making his acrylic holder. Darci in 8S has also been nominated for demonstrating excellent bread making skills in Food & Nutrition, a future baker in the making!
- Fitzgerald 11S and Tyrell 11C have been nominated by the Engineering team for assisting in the milling machine demonstration in GCSE Engineering.
- Mr Holmes has nominated Danila 7CO for a good attitude to learning and excellent progress in History.
- Mr Horne has nominated Harley 7CO for good co-ordinate work in Maths.
- Miss Longhurst has nominated Year 11 History students who responded fantastically this week to their feedback and for attempting an exam paper.
- Mr Cox has nominated Maddie 9S, Kelechi 9C and Emmanuel 9T for excellent characterisations in Drama this week.
- The Science team have nominated James and Rowan 7TE for their excellent attitudes to Science.
Miss Basra has nominated Dominik 8T who has been extremely helpful and attentive in class and Elijah 11S for excellent effort in the English sessions.
Mr Krawczynski has nominated Gabriela 7TA for her excellent effort in Maths.
Our Year 7 football team competed in their first tournament this week and won! All the players were amazing and Gus 7TA and Samuel 7TE were named Players of the Tournament.
Miss Fenner has nominated Eden and Curtis 11S and Darci and Rayon 8S for their excellent effort in English.
Celebration of Student Work
Theatre Company Workshop IDEK (I don’t even know) Theatre Company performed a careers choices production to Year 9 students. The Theatre Company used real life stories and accounts to explore the notion and consequences of choices in order to help students with their future pathways. | Skills Show - NEC - Birmingham Our Year 10 students visited the Skills Show in Birmingham this week. Students had the opportunity to find out information about a wide range of careers and talk to experts in those fields. | Anti Bullying Campaign and Hate Crime Workshops This week has been anti-bullying week and a number of workshops have taken place highlighting this and details are available on the school website. We also had our PCSO Steve Coles in school talking to all students about hate crime. |

Skills Show - NEC - Birmingham
Reminders:
- School photographs will be sent home with students next week.
- Year 11 Parent/Carer Consultation Evening will be held on Wednesday 22nd November - please book your appointments online. If you have any issues please contact school reception.
- Mad Hatters Book Club will begin on Monday in the school Library (after school), and Chess Club will begin on Monday mornings, also in the Library, please see Miss Kidner for more details.
- Imagine a Day workshops will take place with Year 9 on Thursday 23rd November.
- Year 8 Parent/Carer Consultation Evening will take place on Wednesday 29th November - letters will be sent home with students next week.
