What is involved?
What: take a break from all of the testing and come and participate in a reading extravaganza.
*The story will be read to us in the voice of well known actor, Liam Neeson.
*Engage in a conversation about the book.
*Do some fun activities such as the "Polar Express Christmas Card," matching activities, fill-in-the-blanks, word searches, a holiday poem, create your own holiday adventure. You can download them below.

*Watch the movie
When: Thursday, December 20th and Friday, December 21st during lunch
Where: Reference Room inside the Library
Why: Based on the positive response we got after hosting the first "Book-to-Movie" series with the King Tut documentary earlier this week, we decided to offer a second edition. This time with a holiday themed book.
Seating will be limited. First come, first served.
Interesting Facts
* The real 1225 train inspired the animated train, and they recorded the 1225’s different locomotive sounds to use in the movie.
* Chris Van Allsburg said that The Polar Express was the easiest of his picture book manuscripts to write. He created only one draft and had to make only a few changes to the text
* The setting of the book is based on Van Allsburg’s childhood home in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
