Tennis

Thanks to Taranaki Tennis Association we have had professional tennis coach Ghislaine Brien from Huatoki Tennis Club in school this week working with each class, teaching the fundamentals of tennis. As part of this we also receive some new rackets, balls and fold out net.

School Production

Auditions are well underway for the main characters in this year's production, 'Mindcraft the Musical'. Scripts will be given out next week so the actors can work on memorising their lines over the holiday break. Practices will begin after Pet Day with anticipated performance dates being 21 / 22 November. If you want to be involved or are able to help out in any way please see Penny, Kathryn or Megan. At this stage we anticipate we will need help with costumes, set design, and coaching of lines.

School Uniforms

Nothing is easy is it! We are still awaiting the arrival of the latest order of school shirts. Thank you to those who have already paid for their order. Your child will be given a shirt as soon as they arrive!

School Accounts

With the end of term fast approaching please ensure your school account is settled before the holidays.

From the Children

These Year 1 girls are beginning to use more punctuation (commas and speech marks) in their writing.

I went to the Empire in town. To eat I had a hot dog and chips. After tea we had pudding. For pudding I had some icecream from the ice cream trucks. I felt happy.

I said, "Thank you." They said, "You're welcome." Then we went home. At home I went to bed.

Last night I got out of bed and I went to the hallway. Mum and Dad were talking about pony training. Mum said, "We can command the pony to stop but we need a word."

Dad said, "Yes we do."
