This Week at Utsalady
Remote Learning Feedback and Technology Support
Dear Utsalady Families and Students,
Thank you! Many of you were able to complete the district survey on remote learning. Your comments were appreciated and helped us to make adjustments to work load and address technology issues to meet the needs of our students.
Remote learning is new for most - if not all of us. We know it can be difficult for families. At Utsalady we want to say thank you again for your willingness to take on the extra responsibility during school closure. If you or your child are finding the work load to be too much or too little please reach out to your child's teacher and talk about options.
It's not too late to hop online: We have hotspots and chromebooks available. If you are able to get cell service but don't yet have internet service at their home, we have hotspots - contact the office at uesinfo@stanwood.wednet.edu to pick one up.
Students Engaging in Learning: You may have noticed your child engaging in learning using a "choice board". We know that students of all ages stay engaged when given opportunities to choose a learning path. Our specialists and teachers have created choice boards with activities, videos, and lessons to engage in. Throughout the week teachers email me pictures of students engaging in remote learning. Later in the newsletter take a look at our students sharing their thinking, building, drawing, and so much more. Keep sending those pictures in to uesinfo@stanwood.wednet.edu
Have a wonderful week.

5th Graders and Middle School Registration
Though this is not the way our 5th graders planned to close out their elementary school years, it is an exciting time for them as they think about electives and all of the opportunities Middle School brings. Last week you received an email from either Stanwood Middle School or Port Susan Middle School with information regarding registration for 6th grade elective courses.
Please click the link below for communication and registration from each middle school.
