Digital Observation Technology Skills (DOTS) brings outdoor Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) tools to Wisconsin students. These modern mobile technology devices connect today’s students to the outdoors in new and innovative ways. 4th grade students experienced DOTS technology under guidance of UW Extension Youth Development Educator, Anna DeMers.
Ms. DeMers introduced students to kit equipment such as a GPS unit, video/digital camera, digital microscope, and trail camera.
Alex Adler practiced with the thermal imager before heading outside.
A pocket weather thermometer is explored before 4th graders like Brooke Asleson utilized it near the school forest.
