Family mealtime has been scientifically proven to increase the well-being of adolecients phychological being. Family meal time brings all the members into the same room. They socialize and teens can have a chance to descuss their issues with their parents. This makes the adolescent feel more involved and like they are cared for. This works the same for children of all ages. This supports higher grades, reduces teen substance abuse and teen pregnancy.


To do this you can set a specific time for meals, and plan other activities around this. Plan out a meal together and try to involve everyone. Have the kids help you prepare the meal in the kitchen. This helps you to have more time to socialize and teaches them a lesson that they can use throughout their entire life.
